LONG STORY SHORT: VLOG 01

Hey dreamer, hope you’re easing into another year. I’m grounding myself in courage—what does it mean to move boldly in the direction of your dreams?

For January’s vlog, I open up about my morning rituals, solo dates, and intentions for the year to come.

So much has happened since I released ‘Body Takeover,’ my last single... I feel like I've grown into more of myself, and I’m in a season of butterflying. I've grown through heartbreak and have focused on transforming from the inside out. It’s been my greatest journey yet.

Sometimes, life forces you out of your comfort zone, and you have no other choice than to grow. Life will always come with ups and downs—I’m learning to keep leaning into the waves and to accept change. I’m not going to lie, it’s tough, but I’m grateful and proud of how far I’ve come. I even catch myself surfing life’s waves more instead of sitting on the shore. Want to join me?

I’m open to love again and enjoying nurturing my close relationships and chosen family. It’s a trust thing. All relationships, including our most important relationship with ourselves, require work. I’m also learning that the ‘work’ can feel fun and light—not always so serious.

The trick is to notice when my mind wanders off to the past or future and to gently come back to the present moment. This simple meditation practice keeps me grounded and helps me to keep things moving. Sometimes I find that I procrastinate because I have a habit of overthinking... What if? Often, I start imagining the worst-case scenario as a way of protecting myself - my younger self. But I’m realising that life happens when we come back to present moment, let go of our safety nets, the comfort blankets that once kept us feeling safe, and we dare to think of all the possibilities. We live and we learn, right?

I can trust myself to keep making decisions that feel empowering. I’m not perfect—I’m human. There’s room to make mistakes. I’m exactly where I need to be. There’s no need to run away from the moment as it’s passing. I’m in an exciting space where I’m open to new opportunities—instead of feeling stuck in the past.

I hope we keep finding the courage to move boldly in the direction of our dreams—whatever that may feel like. We deserve it and the time is now.
